I had the same challenge made to me from the computer teacher (I'm a music teacher). I simply had the wood shop teacher construct twenty or so wooden boxes about 6x4x5-inches, a hinged lid, a hasp lock and padlock, an eye-hook (for hanging it off the work area, behind the computer itself), and a slit on one end about 3/8's of an inch for the mouse chord. The teacher issues a key to the student/s who needs access. The mouse is "outta sight - outta mind" and all are happy. No dirt, no ball-less mice! Pete
