A friend of mine has a small company and an old Apple ][+. He wants to continue to use the thing in his business for Accounting, speadsheets and database stuff. I'm an IBM guy, and can help him only with IBM stuff. My question to the knowledgeable masses is: Is there an inexpensive (cheap) way for him to connect somehow to an IBM clone (through a srial port, or maybe just through floppy-disk swapping) so that some of his spreadsheet inputs on his Apple ][+ can be read by something like 1-2-3 on an IBM clone? He wants to have two other people in his office hooked up to his Apple by having keyboard and video-signal extensions all over his office and some sort of master switch to determine who is using the system. I think that is a silly idea. Could some Apple fan out there suggest a way for him to get another system or two up and running without spending more than a couple grand? I have told him that I suggest spending money in the IBM area as opposed to spending more in the Apple world. Please comment!
