Hi. Is it possible to convince blu to unpack off of one floppy onto another floppy that will be inserted into the same drive at later time? What I am trying to do is unpack a 400k byte file that will produce about 700k worth of files. Once unpacked, the new files and the original file will not fit onto a single 3.5" disk, so blu won't let me do it. An alternative would be to put the original packed file into ramdisk, but I don't have enough ram to do that. Another alternative would be for some kind soul to post the system disk 4.0 packaged into smaller chunks. I spent an hour downloading the two packages from a bulletin board only to find that I cannot unpack them! No, I am not too cheap to pay for the disks and documentation, nobody in Columbus, Ohio will admit to having it yet, and I am getting anxious. Thanks for any ideas, Jim Brohard cbsds!jmb cblph!jmb

BLU will not unpack from one disk onto another disk in the same slot/drive. If this seems to be your only choice, you can split the BQY file into two or more parts with a splitting utility, and then use BLU on each part.

Does anyone know how where I could get a copy of BLU to unarchive NDA's for my Apple //GS? Also, any help on the procedure to convert such files into a format which my Apple //GS (w/3.5" drive, 2 5.25" drives, 1.25 Mb RAM) can read would be appreciated. I do have access to a MacIntosh, if that helps. Also, any comments from anyone about the Transwarp GS and how it compares to the Zip Chip GS? I am considering buying one of the two soon. Finally, what about Hyperstudio? Is it worth getting? Is it compatible with Applied Engineering's Sonic Blaster? - Beware of programmers who carry screwdrivers ...
