A few messages ago, someone commented that the new GS ROM 03 machine came with 1 meg. of memory on the main motherboard. Is this correct? If it is, is there any upgrade plan for those who have an "old" GS ? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- John C. Is this correct? >If it is, is there any upgrade plan for those who have an "old" GS? Humm, what planet have you been on lately? (Sorry, but I couldn't help myself...). Yep, it's got 1 meg+ on the motherboard, and a few other nifty features. Nope, you can't upgrade it, because Apple doesn't think the improvements are worthy of an upgrade. Actually, I don't either... Memory's cheap now, so save your bucks, and buy a Transwarp GS instead. If you missed the ROM 03 news, you might like to check out System 5.0.2... Lynda ps. I have heard tales of people paying $200 and swapping their old fried motherboard for new ROM 03 one's, though... plus the cost of the the motherboard (something like a total of $480).
