Since I saw the post attributing my printing problem to the Laserprinters
themselves, I have done alittle more snooping...The problem arises on every
Laserwriter on campus...be it II, I, or +. I have also tried to print to an
imagewriter with the same problems. From all of the time I have put
into trying to print, it seems that the problem is with appletalk, as i have
mentioned, I believe it to be a time-out problem. My question now is what,
if any, are the differences between the mac implementation and the GS
implimentation of ATALK as far as proticals are concerned.
Further then that, if there is no difference between the way they are supposed
to access the printer, then why can a mac print from my port.
One other bit of info, The chooser has problems d/ling the IWEM. I know that
our laserwriters are initialized with a pwd and the IWEM will not load but the
chooser cannot begin the transfer. I believe it states that a network error
has occured...
