I've been having this problem with System 5.0 and DeluxePaint. If I run a
ProDOS 8 program before running DeluxePaint (unprotected original), the
program won't save on top of existing files. The AI40 chirps briefly then
patiently sits. No error message comes up. It can save a file if I specify a
brand new file name. Everything works fine if I don't run a ProDOS 8 program
before I run Dpaint.
I've got 1.5 Meg in a ROM 01 (gah, the 2nd ROM revision :), using System 5.0
software downloaded off of America Online, with an Inner Drive 40.
Incidentally, the drive boots into the Orca Shell. No CDAs except for the
Inner Drive one and the Graphics Tablet one. The DPaint program is patched
with Jason Harpers Dpaint patch that allows it to work (for me) under 5.0.
What could be the problem?
