Well, I've seen (all?) three Bill Forsythe movies - Gregory's Girl, Local Hero, and Comfort and Joy. I liked them all, but I think I liked the first two more. They are all movies about fairly ordinary people, and all are funny - not Steve Martin or Eddie Murphy funny, but rather (how about this:) funny like the jokes you tell sitting on the porch on a summer evening? Just ordinary humour about ordinary people, in slightly unordinary situations. Forsythe doesn't rely on expensive props, special effects, or exotic locations. He relies instead on the story and the actors. This is as it should be. Summary: Recommended. John
