From "The Universal Almanac 1990" (Andrews and McMeel, 4900 Main Street,
Kansas City, Missouri 64112):
In the section on computers, this almanac gives a chronology, including
the following entry for 1983 (on page 367):
"Apple introduces Apple IIe (last of Apple II family) and "Lisa," an
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
important step toward development of the Macintosh."
Sigh. To think that the computer I'm typing this with (my beloved GS)
doesn't exist.....
(Note: it is a good almanac, they just probably got their info from a
person who despises the Apple II :-)
