I've been playing with all my upgraded software recently. GS/OS- when there is a file selection dialog on the screen, and I eject a disk and put a new one in, I hit the "DISK" button to read in the directory from the new disk. If I hit 'TAB' instead, it goes to the next drive even if the current disk was switched. Is this a bug, or a feature? Also, Bill Gulstad and I have been thinking about spaces in filenames. Couldn't space be something like lowercase '.'? Dots could be used interchangeably with spaces. Shell programs would still work, ProDOS 8 would still work, and Desktop programs get a bonus. Is there a problem with doing something like this? I think it would be a nice feature, especially for people who use Macs and GS's. Just the other day I was at CBM getting a copy of the SCSI utilities. The salesman tried to format a GS disk with a name of "SCSI UTILS" and didn't understand why it didn't work. AppleWorks 3.0 - I was paging through a word processor file with the right arrow, and I noticed that if the line ended with ,"..., (comma, quote, text) the cursor jumped to the next line after the comma. This was very annoying as I was deleting returns off the ends of the lines. That's about all I've discovered so far. Besides the sad fact that I can't use any of those new fonts cause my system disk is full. :-( -- =============================================================================== jawaid bazyar jb10320@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu Junior/Computer Engineering UIUC Seepage from deep, black, brittle experiments which failed and transformations too hard to find.
