I saw the Mac Portable for the first time yesterday, and I was not impressed. I must admit the screen was the best ever created. The guy there told me each pixel has its own transistor, and judging by the sharpness, that must be a lot of em! But otherwise: price, size, weight, etc, Apple did a poor job. If you took a se, removed the screen and put in a LCD, shrunk the case, put in the rollerball, and rerpositioned the drive and cpu, you would have a mac portable. It's probably close to the volume of the SE. Apple thought they could impress the public and business community with a portable with their own (and no way a lap top), but I am not impressed. They should consider revolutionizing their way of building AND the price... I hardly believe anyone would get it at $6000 (I think). A GS protable? Heh... no way. I would think a MAC is easier to make, and look what happened!
