Have you had any trouble connecting to ComputerEdge BBS? I can connect ok at 300 baud but I can't connect at 1200 baud. I get garbage and disconnected. I suspect my dip switch settings. The following is my current hardware and switch settings. Apple ][e (Hong Kong clone) Super Serial Card aka SSC (clone from Nexo) SSC DIP SWITCHES set as follow SW1-1 OFF SW2-1 ON SW1-2 ON SW2-2 ON SW1-3 ON SW2-3 OFF SW1-4 ON SW2-4 ON SW1-5 ON SW2-5 OFF SW1-6 ON SW2-6 ON SW1-7 ON SW2-7 OFF MultiTech MT212AD (100% "Hayes compatable modem") Modem DIP SWITCHES set as follow SW# Condition 1 down DTR forced on at all times 2 up Verbose (word) Responces 3 down Enable Command Responses 4 up Enable Command Character Echo 5 up Enable Automatic Answer 6 down Carrier Detect and DSR always on 7 up Synchronous Operation 8 down Enable Command Mode - - CTS always on These settings seem to work ok with most BBS but some give garbage at connect and work ok after pressing return while others will not work at all as described above for ComputerEdge. Can anyone help me? PS I am using Point.to Point as my terminal program set to 8N1. UUCP: crash!pro-grouch!tomk ARPA: crash!pro-grouch!tomk@nosc.mil
