I figured someone else has had that same problem. What you want to do it use P roterm to set the init string in your modem permanently. When GBBS boots up, it only changes S0=1 as to answer the phone on a ring. For myself, I used (I thin k... It was last year): AT E0 V0 M0 S0=0 Q0 X3 &C &D1 &W The ones that do the trick are &C (carrier detect) and &D1 (Drop detect). &W sa ves this information in your modems ROM chip for are init every time you turn i t on.
