[comp.sys.apple] GBBS init string

ST802148@BROWNVM.BROWN.EDU (Evan) (11/27/89)

I figured someone else has had that same problem. What you want to do
it use P
roterm to set the init string in your modem permanently. When GBBS boots
up, it
only changes S0=1 as to answer the phone on a ring. For myself, I used
(I thin
k... It was last year): AT E0 V0 M0 S0=0 Q0 X3 &C &D1 &W
The ones that do the trick are &C (carrier detect) and &D1 (Drop
detect). &W sa
ves this information in your modems ROM chip for are init every time you
turn i
t on. IF there is a problem, let me know. It might be &D2. Later
