Hi, A while back I aquired an Apple IIgs. Unfortuneately, the thing has only the bare essentials to run games and has been sitting gathering dust for quite some time. I have the following configuration: RGB monitor 512K RAM 3 5 1/4" drives (2 from my former II+) 1 3 1/2" drive 1 Hayes 1200 baud modem (no software) To make it, what I would consider, a decent programming machine, I want to get the following: 20MB Hard Drive (atleast 20MB) 512K more RAM near lq dot-matrix printer Unix like working environment C programming language compiler libraries debugger etc. Word Processor (varying font sizes, and other fancy stuff) software for the above mentioned modem (it was given to me by a system admin. who upgraded to 2400 baud modems) Accelerator to get me to atleast 8 Mhz Fan Current OpSys (mine's about 1 1/2 years out of date) information about upgrading to new GS I would really appreciate any help I can get on information concerning the above items. Money is an issue, so I can't just go down to a local dealer and say here's what I need. Thanx in advance. Rob G. glenn@osi3.ncsl.nist.gov
