Has anyone else tried to get a Mac via the "Free Trial Run" program Apple is running now? I tried and was turned down. My brother tried also and he was turned down. What we determined was that a) you had to qualify for an Apple credit card in order to participate. (fair enough, the offer says you have to qualify for financing) b) the credit limit on an Apple credit card is $3000 SO c) you can't get a reasonable Mac and a printer on teh "Free Trial Run" because list pricve is too high. Given this, I can't figure out how anyone could get a Mac on this program. BTW, both I and my brother gave credit references that showed we had enough cash to cover the equipment outright. I am just curious as to what the deal is. Please e-mail your responses as I do not generally read this group.
