[comp.sys.apple] Beagle Bros Catalogs are free

bchurch@oucsace.cs.OHIOU.EDU (Bob Church) (12/05/89)

One last ( I really hope so at least) word on Beagle Bros
distribution. The details are in their newest catalog. As usual
this catalog is one of the more entertaining Apple // "publications"
around and I'd suggest everyone get it. I noticed one discrepency.
The catalog does not mention that you are *not allowed* to
upload the software to any other board. When you dial up the BBS you are
told not to upload any of the programs. I mention this to prevent
requests for the obvious, which would be to have a few local people
download everything and then upload it to the net. I called Beagle
Bros. before posting this and they told my that it is quite all right
for people to call their order lines to request a catalog. As I said
the catalog is free, contains lots of information, and can be had with
toll free call.

The numbers are,

(800) 345-1750 or if you are in California use (800) 992-4022
( my apologies to those outside the U.S. I'm not ignoring you, I
just don't have any toll free number to offer.)
By the way, The Beagle Compiler and Triple Dump are still for sale and
not part of the pd collection.

In fact, none of the software is part of the pd collection. Once again,
The Beagle Oldies are not public domain (nor are they freeware). Instead,
they are copyrighted programs which Beagle Bros no longer duplicates.

Please, let's watch the PD usage on this. Thanks,

Actually, what I wrote originally was not pd but "software that is free if
you download it but don't upload it but you can give it to anyone and some of
the programs are combined and the number's busy a lot and what else did I forget
collection". My spell checker didn't recognize that and changed it to pd.
Sorry for the confusion.
On a serious note, the free catalog also contains an insert from Claris which
details their AWGS and AW Classic upgrades and a form to order them with.
