At last! Some news of Eric Johnson! I first saw/heard him on PBS' 'Austin City Limits' about a year ago, with his band (the Avenue). The man is a style virtuoso (he played folk, old 'Hendirx/Cream'-style rock, jazz fusion & new wave rock, if my memory serves me correctly). Following this show I vainly searched for any of his records (glad to hear he's got an album coming out soon); I queried PBS on the availability of the video and they refered me to the producers of the show. I shall forward news of this to anyone interested. I am amazed that such a talent is relatively unknown; but chance discovery is beautiful.
