My brother has an Apple IIe. He needs a good communications program so he can log onto the mainframe at a nearby university. Is there anything for the IIe comparable to Versa Term and Microphone II for the Mac? (I think VersaTerm is available for the Apple IIe, but I don't know if it's any good.) I'm hesitant to rely on the recommendations of my local computer stores' sales persons (a good group to avoid almost any time). I'd appreciate whatever details can be provided for any recommended comm software (e.g., whether logon scripts can be created, and how simple that process is, how good is the documentation, available terminal emulation options, etc.). Please respond to me directly. I don't have access to comp-sys-apple or any other Apple II BBs. Ron Webster -------------
