I don't know if none-usenet sites get to vote, but I vote no because I don't want to get anymore duplicates than I already have to read; you know darn well there will be a high percentage of crossposting. (Most times one can't tell whether he's seen a message before without looking at at least half a screenful.) The problem is that, as someone else said, what we want to eliminate is the "junk mail" and interminable arguments on not very important topics (such as the Beagle thing); splitting the group into a technical and general part isn't going to help with that. BTW -- I don't remember if in the proposal anyone has said how the internet feed is to be handled: create a new internet mailing list as well to parallel the new usenet list? P.S. -- do you have any idea what the internet/usenet readership ratio of info-apple/comp.sys.apple is? There are as of last count 160,000 computers on the internet; somehow I don't think usenet is anywhere near that.
