[comp.sys.apple] HELP, need memory upgrade for Apple ][.

eads@hpldola.HP.COM (Rick Eads) (12/16/89)

I recently acquired an Apple ][ at a garage sale. It works fine but only has
48K of memory. I have two questions.

	1. Is it possible to upgrade the onboard memory to 64K? If so, how?

	2. Who still markets 16K expansion boards?

Any help would be appreciated.

I believe that Applied Engineering still makes 16K expansion boards.

After talking to a major sw/hw distributor in California I was
able to confirm that Applied Engineering does indeed offer a
16K expansion board for the Apple ][. Their phone number is
214-241-6060. The price of the board is $99.

You can get to 64k by adding a 16k card.
Look in Incider for those who sell it still.
If you can't find a source there, send me E-Mail and I'll look it up for you.

Price Busters also has a 5 year warranty.

Price Busters advertises in Incider. They sell a 16k card for around $35.00,I
believe. It will allow a ][+ to run ProDos.
