I was wondering what software came with the Apple SCSI card? I'd like to put together my own drive (ST225 + controller + power supply), and was wondering what brand controller the apple software expects. I'd also like to know if the problem of using the controller with interrupts was fixed. I doubt that any software comes with the SCSI card; why would it? Apple uses a non-standard SCSI connector (25 pins instead of 50, as I vaguely recall). Apart from this, any SCSI device should work. A new ROM was developed for the SCSI card that supposedly fixes all problems. Perhaps someone can tell you how to identify the ROM version.

I just purchased an Apple SCSI card, and I'm wondering what the rev level is. The p/n of the card is 607-0291-A. The ROM says 341-0112B. There are two other chips with apple labels, they are 341-0415 and 341-0416. If this is not a Rev. C card (I don't think it is), how do I go about upgrading to that level? I have a large disk drive (non-Apple) and I need a Rev C version of the card. ihnp4!killer!jockc

Does anyone know what the upgrade policy onthe Apple SCSI card is? I got mine about about a year ago, not too long before the new version came out. TMPLee@DOCKMASTER.ARPA

When will revision "D" (supports TAPE drives?) be released and will revision "C" ROMS be upgraded to "D" 'free or charge' like the pre-C ROM was?
