I need some help reproducing a bug in AppleWorks. I called it in to Claris and got a song and dance about my PRODOS clock driver screwing things up (Which later testing proved to be nonsense). Before I spend the money to call back again, I'd like to see which other systems will reproduce the bug. How to make the bug: Boot up AppleWorks, and start a fresh data base, and a fresh word processor file. Enter the DB: Make up a record with two fields. (Call them "1" and "2" for the sake of a name) Make up 3 records in the following format. 1) 60 characters first field, 14 characters in the second. 2) 61 " " " , 14 " " " " 3) 61 " " " , 13 " " " " (1 and 3 are controlls) Copy all three records into the clipboard. Copy them from the clipboard into the word processor file. On my system, the second field of the second record won't copy to the word processor file. (You can change the ordering of the records and it won't make a difference.) Let me know (by mail) what happens either way, and please let me know what type of computer it was tried on. (Mine is a enhanced //e, with 256K, it also screws up on a //c with 1meg) I await noledge, (sp? :-) Reply to: ...!{watmath,boulder,rutgers}!acsu.buffalo.edu!planck!wiles%hercules *Disclaimer: Anyone who's opinion is changed by a *Looks more (bonk) like a *disclaimer should be shot.
