Keywords: Living, dying, dead I retract my plug for Zip Tech!!!!!!! Mine died on Friday. I booted...it loaded my stuff to my ram disk started to display the time...later when I hit the any key, it died...crahed to the monitor. Like it over heated...but NOT like it over heated. When I went to reboot, it beeped (kind of sickly) and showed a garbled text screen. If I leave it a lone for a while (to "cool off") then it boots again but eventually dies. It is still on warrenty. Maybe this is my chance to upgrade to a Zip8. You know, a dissatisfied customer.... Dave Jansen (The Gilded One) eldorado@en.ecn.purdue.edu "We have to make all our programs idiot-proof. Keywords: Living, dying, dead Well my Apple is back on line but this time without a Zip Chip. Now comes the important question: Do I ask for my money back (since service is bad), ask for an equivalent (which also may fail since it is the same circuit), or do I get a chance to get an 8Mhz chip using the excuse of being a dissatisfied customer for not paying the extra cash for the upgrade. I mean, do I have to pay $50 more or can I just ask for a Zip 8 since my 4 died and this is such a big inconvience. To the guy who had to wait 5 months for a chip and somehow got a Zip 8 what did you do? Did they automatically send you one out of pity (get real Dave), did you ask for one and have to pay more cash, or did you ask for one and somehow not have to dish out more money.
