get aufs v2.0, or whichever version is AFP 2.0 compatible. AFP (Appleshare Filing Protocol) 2.0 defines ProDOS info fields so that ProDOS 8 based workstations can understand the fileserver. However, the gs/os Appleshare FST also uses these when it could just be encoding prodos filetypes into Mac filetypes the way Apple File Exchange does. The method is described in Inside Appletalk, and would let gs/os live up to the claim that the Apple // can do everything a Mac can do via appleshare.
