Not a lot to talk about-- when you aren't home, you don't watch. Oh, well, with what we have, onward: This is Spinal Tap -- **+ More, much more if you are heavily into live rock, heavy metal, and rock documentary. A very well done sendup of all of the above-- so well done, in fact, that it is easy to forget it IS a sendup-- when you do, it starts bogging down. Well worth the time to see it. Spinal tap is a fictional rock band, known as the loudest rock band in england (their amps, for example, go to 11). Lines such as "I'd feel much worse about it if I wasn't so heavily sedated" come to mind... quite a few good giggles. Excalibur -- **** By far the most visually splendid version of Camelot, Arthur, and Merlin. A moving and well thought out interpretation of the legend, exceptional production values, good casting, and an inspired performance given by Merlin-- oppressive, but not superior-- Merlin knows his superiority to men, but also his limits and his foibles. The true definition of the Arthurian legends on film. Bill Cosby-- Himself -- *** A concert film, essentially-- Bill on stage doing what he does best-- Jokes on his family, life, the universe, and everything. Especially funny are his comments about having kids the intellectual way, and what it means to have a family. Best quote: "Do you know why we have FIVE kids? Because we didn't want SIX kids!" That's all for now.... chuq -- From behind the bar: Chuq Von Rospach {allegra,cbosgd,decwrl,hplabs,ihnp4,seismo}!nsc!chuqui nsc!chuqui@decwrl.ARPA Deadbone erotica is the prickly panic of forgotten milleniums, it is the moldy billion year madness that creeps deep along the spinal behind of my mind.
