[comp.sys.apple] Small C

Sorry, Mike, but you would gain very little from your efforts to
get Small C up and running on ProDOS 8 on your own. It's already
been done successfully. The ProDOS 8 based ORCA/M package has an
optional disk ($20-$40) that is already debugged to run Small C
on the Apple. It also comes with source and can compile itself.

I got the entire package (ORCA/M, Shell sources and Small C) for
under $100, so unless you are extrememly pressed for money, I
would recommend to save your effort and buy the working version.

Personally, without structures, Small C is worthless to me for any
serious program development. And you can forget portability (from
other machines to the Apple), because you need much more than
"character" and "int" variables to compile a complicated program.
