All of you who now are talking about bad marketing of Apple USA should be
happy; your Apple dealers *SOLD* machines. In Europe (everywhere but at
France) Apple succesfully held the Apple II GS under cover; the result is
that France is the last European country where Apple IIs are sold. In every
other European country Apple stopped selling them (in Germany the last one
will be sold around September as reliable sources told me).
So instead having the problem of not knowing when the ROM 4 machine will
be sold most Europeans wonder where they'll get maintainance for their old
Apples...
*I* don't know what I'll do; the Apple II line seems to be a dead horse
now... I won't get an upgrade when the rest of the world does and I'll
probably have problems in obtaining new versions of the operating system;
Apple Germany is still shipping their machines (in January they sold 7...)
with MousDesk and System Disk 3.0...
