Apple //gs sound quality on a normal Apple // (//+, //e, //c) running at only 1 MHz? Do you believe that? No, no hardware or any modification to the machine was made. It was done entirely with software. I believe, because my friend at Argentina just send me a Demo he wrote. Incredible, the piano sounds like piano, and you can really feel the trembling of low frequency beats. According to my friend, it has N/S ratio of 35 db, quite impresive. Oh, well, it doesn't sound exactly as well as the //gs, I just want to say that it DOES sound good, and quite close the //gs's quality. No, don't ask me for a copy, my friend is looking for a company to buy his "idea", and I promissed him not to give any copy to anyone. Just want to tell Apple // (classic) owners that there's still some "mission impossible" can be done on an Apple // of 1 MHz. He also send me a alpha version of his Printed Circuit Design System. It's slow, but it works. (no auto-routing yet) And again, untill he complete the entire program, he doesn't want anyone to have a copy. -- |I want Rocket Chip 10 MHz, Z-Ram Ultra II, UniDisk 3.5 | cyliao@wam.umd.edu | |I want my own NeXT, 50MHz 68040, 64Mb RAM, 660Mb SCSI, | Chun Yao Liao | | NeXT laser printer, net connection. | Accepting Donations!| /* If (my_.signature =~ yours) coincidence = true; else ignore_this = true; */
