[comp.sys.apple] GS Error 093B7200

JWANKERL@UTCVM.BITNET ("Josef W. Wankerl") (02/16/90)

A friend of mine has a ROM 03 machine and said that his memory card
was bad. So I plucked mine out and trotted over to his house to see
if really was. Well mine didn't work either. So then we ran the
self test (Control-Option-Open-Apple-Reset) and after a lengthy wait
it finally came up and said System Bad and gave an error code of
093B7200. What does this mean? (Yeah sure, all the numbers came across
a while back, but I didn't need them).

The 09 means an error in the "Apple Desk Bus" ROM, the second and third
bytes (3B72) show the checksum error, and the last byte (00) shows that the
checksum was performed. Which all means that the ADB ROM fried. What is
interesting is that it kills extended memory. Strange.
The above came from the McGraw-Hill tech reference. Just so you didn't
think I memorized the numbers! :-)

Thanks to everyone who sent me stuff about the self-test error codes.
My friend has narrowed the error down to an old Turbo-Mouse.
Real odd that it messes up the expansion memory.
