Yesterday I went out and bought a new toy for my PCTransporter. A 720K DS/DD MFM (IBM Type) 3.5" Floppy Drive. That sucker was a real bear to install in that little box AE gives ya. My problem is this... I tested the drive out with the PCTransporter and all seems to go just fine (except the PCTools disk format function doesn't want to work with it). Then I went to the PCInstall program to update the "ProDOS" file on my hd. Things went along smoothly and the Apple side (read GS/OS) recognized it had a new block device to play with. However, when I went to format it, GS/OS only gave me an option to format to 360K, not the 720K capacity of the device. Can anyone tell me what's going on here? In case you need more info about my system, I'm running on: Apple IIgs with 1.75MB RAM 40MB Sider HD (D4) TranWarp IIgs running at 7MHz PCTransporter with full 768K 1 Apple 3.5 Drive 2 Apple 5.25 Drives 1 Transdrive- 5.25" 1 Teac 3.5" (720K - the problem child) in the Transdrive box. Running on Apple IIgs System Software 5.02 Other miscellaneous things :) Not that it's _terribly_ important, but I'd like to use that 720K under GS/OS sometimes. Thanks in advance for any help!
