Ah, sorry, Bob, but I can't agree with you.  Maybe someone, somewhere thought
it would be a nifty idea if the 'net shunned commercialism, but I don't agree
with him either.  :)
 
I personally love to see lists of hardware/software for sale.  The posters are
not huge multi-nationals, they're just users like you and me.  We already know
that the info-apple feed links hundreds of Apple users together - it allows
for the exchange of information, for friend making, for squabbling.  It *also*
allows for the exchange of hardware, software, and friendly technical support.
 
I think that Apple Inc. has made it clear that it will no longer devote time
and money to the Apple ][.  It seems to me that the future of our little
machines lies in our hands, and if we are to continued to do wonderous things,
we need to be able to keep the lines of exchange open ... not for information
only, but for obscure (and often vital) hardware, too.

  Just to clarify everything.  I made a mistake in interpreting what
Chan Wilson was saying about the new Mac IIxi.  I read it wrong as the
IIci.  I fully apologize about the mistake....
