A game designed for the Apple IIGS is now available in shareware. Its name is "Bouncing Bluster", and is the same kind as "Arkanoid". I had already talked about it here, but now everything is decided, so if you want to get it, send 100 Frs (about $16) to : Jean Francois DOUE & Jean Michel VALLAT 25 rue de Bossuet 77150 Lesigny France PS: if you think that writing to France and paying in Francs is too difficult, just remember that we (french users) constantly face the same problem when buying in the States. So, share our troubles once :-)

As I have received comments about the principles of ShareWare, I would like to make a few points clear : 1) Bouncing Bluster *IS* ShareWare. If you get a copy and like it, you pay for it. But, given the distance it is impossible for the authors to send the program to people in the States at no charge. It is also too big to be sent to a download site. If you have a solution so that US users can see it (other than pay-before-test), tell me ! 2) I have no connection with the authors, except I think they are making a great job. So my annoucement was not commercial. Alain Raynaud <RAYNAUD@FRESE51.BITNET>

I saw this game mentioned in the latest InCider and have heard a little bit about it before, but it hasn't seemed to hit any of the bulletin boards I regularly call.. Do you suppose someone that has it could post it to comp.binaries.apple2 or shrinkit it, binscii it, and mail it to me? [The former would obviously be better, but the latter's good enough for me!] To those who've never heard of this game: It's supposedly similar to Arkanoid (recursively similar to Breakout), but quoting InCider, "...Bouncing Bluster adds a third dimension-- your ball can fly over walls -- and many new types of 'barrels'". They even hope that Taito doesn't sue them!! Great for InCider to take a stand on this issue! But it is kind of stupid that they say no to "Senseless Violence"... What weenies. -- No floptical drives. Both companies said no. GET A CARTRIDGE drive instead to spite them. unknown@ucscb.ucsc.edu APPLE II FOREVER APL24VR GS tips?
