I will never understand how/why one posting generates so many E-mail requests for something that gets a slight mention. Anyway, rather than answer all this mail, and receive another pile tomorrow, I will post more info to the net. My 65816 GIF readers and writers are part of a (to be) comercial product: the first library disk for The Graphic Exchange 4.1. (GS/OS). BTW, TGE 4.1 should be available pretty much now, after *wait till after Cristmas*, and other marketing/political delays. It has now been well over 6 months since I finished TGE 4.0 which never made the market :-( The first library disk contains support for 15 more graphic formats including GIF files using multiple SHR palettes. No-one has committed to publishing this library disk for me, although it has been offerred. Yes the routines are fatser than SHRConvert, but that is not too hard. Displays with multiple palettes are slow however. Anyway the main theme of E-mail was *please give me the source/object*; so my response must be that I can not. Even if I was willing, I have no way to upload from my GS onto the net. Hopefully someone will publish this library disk for me, I already have enough info to write a second library disk, and would like to get a bit more serious about putting it together.
