There was an item in the 20 November InfoWorld indicating that Apple's senior VP for sales, Bill Coldrick, had said Apple was reconsidering its warranty policies. Evidently, the decision has been made -- Apple will begin offering the industry standard one year warranty beginning in April (due to the date, I rather doubt Apple will make the announcement on April 1 :-) Someone in a position to know says the extended warranty will be retroactive to 1 January 1990 (that is, more or less, if you have an Apple that's still covered by warranty when the announcement is made it will remain covered until the end of the year). BTW What happened to my coffee cup from the last tip you used (You DID say it was being mailed before the end of Jan but it hasn't shown up yet)? /s Murph <Sewall%UConnVM.BITNET@CUNYVM.CUNY.Edu> [Internet] or ...{psuvax1 or mcvax}!uconnvm.bitnet!sewall [UUCP] + Standard disclaimer applies ("The opinions expressed are my own" etc.)
