[comp.sys.apple] Moria GS

DICKSON@HARTFORD.BITNET (03/03/89)

I sent the files to APPLE2-L quite some time ago (at least 2 weeks). I don't
know what happened to them. Unless I hear from someone that I shouldn't in
the next couple days, I'll resend the whole bunch.

Bill.

If my memory serves me correctly, that beast takes up over 600 prodos blocks.
Wouldnt it be unwise to send such a huge program to a mailing list???

If disk space can eventually be opened up on Apple2-l, is there any way to
store the Moria GS files there without having them sent to the subscribers?
That way, those who want them can request them from the server, but the net
won't be swamped with zillions of huge files roaming around.

In the meantime, if anybody wants them, send me mail and I'll try to get them
to you directly.

It has been suggested that Moria GS be stored on the apple2-l archives,
but I would have to disagree with this... Moria is a large packed in
a 3.5 inch disk alone, and separating the files would not make the disk
any smaller. I, personally, have the program, and I have an HST modem.
If anyone feels like sending mail, I will work with you to set up a time
where you can call and download the disk from me...

The //gs port was done by Jason Harper of SHRConvert fame. His
address is:

      Jason Harper
      1480 Michelle Ct. #A
      Colorado Springs, CO 80916

The GAMES-L archive is not for FTPing. It is a list server. See
if you can send requests to it.

Has anyone downloaded Moria GS from utarlvm1? Each part when exec'ed
seems to create a SHK file, but Shrinkit does not recognize them as being
NUfx archives... has anyone had any luck with this?

1 of the 13 files tells you how to concatenate all the little files into 1
large shrinkit file for unshrinking. I think it is the first one.
