I have been very unsuccessful in using a Microcom AX/2400c modem with my IIGS using AppleWorks GS. I was successful one time and have not been able to reacreate this with three separate modems. I had been using a Hayes 1200 very succesfully and I think I had used a Hayes 2400 successfully in the past. Has anyone had success with the Microcom? And with what programs? Thanx in advance... -- Max Heffler internet: max@lgc.com Landmark Graphics Corp. uucp: ..!uunet!lgc!max 333 Cypress Run, Suite 100 phone: (713) 579-4751 Houston, Texas 77094

I have been using a Microcom AX/2400c since Christmas. It has been performing flawlessly at 2400 baud. I have it hanging off the GS modem port, the control panel selection is communications at 2400, and I send it an initialization string of "ATE0V1Q0S0=0X3". I use it almost exclusively with ProTerm 2.1, and sometimes with Kermit 3.86; sorry, I don't have AWGS so I can't help you out there. -- Jim Dean Bell-Northern Research, Ltd |"Badgers?
