I'm currently trying to set up GPS in an apple network (appletalk) through a multigate box to a Pyramid Fileserver. (Using CAP Columbia Apple Package). The data is to reside on the UNIX server, the programs on the apples. However, I seem to get an error message that bothers me a lot (from GPS) saying that the "file is busy". The UNIX filesystem however says it is not so!? Has anyone tried "something like the above" and been successful? Any advice will be accepted in the spirit in which it is given. nick PS - I can thououghly recommend CAP as file transfer, printing and comms work exceptionally well. (Thanks to the guys & gals at Columbia)
