I've been getting a couple strange errors on my GS.... The main one seems to happen fairly frequently when I'm using sound programs, i.e. the SuperSonic Digitizer's SOUNDEDIT program (v. 1.1 C). The machine dies, reporting: Fatal System Error --> $0308 The other I just got when exiting ProSel 16 v8.0. I accidentally had set the current prefix to the system prefix #10 from ProSel's command line, i.e. :prefix 10 This prefix was set to ".CONSOLE/" at the time, so that is probably the reason for the error. Anyway, when I tried to Quit from ProSel to return to the Finder, I got: GS/OS System Error Address = $00DA3C LC Bank = $0 Error Code = $0043 [RESTART] Does anyone know the meaning and cause of either of these errors? Just wondering, because the first one is really annoying, and the second one looks pretty important. In case it matters: Apple IIgs ROM 01 1 AE GS-RAM 1.25 meg 1 AppleDisk 3.5 (SmartPort) 1 Disk II (daisy chained) 1 ProFILE 5 meg (slot 7) 1 SuperSonic stereo card & digitizer (slot 2) modem & printer (built-in ports) Running GS/OS 5.0.2 with a bunch of DAs & INITs but the first problem appears even in a simple BASIC program booted under P8! Thanks for any help.... --rubio (rubio-1@uiuc.edu)
