I am looking for a spelling checker/ dictionary for use on an Apple ][. The intended use is by my learning disabled son. It would be even better if a screen editor was included. Right now he uses wordstar on a z80 card in the apple, so an Apple CP/M version would be ok. Any information would be appreciated. <Horne@Iuvax.cs.indiana.edu asked about a dictionary for a 2e>. I have and use to use Webster's New World Spelling Checker. As I remember it was pretty good. There was a review of spell checkers a couple of years ago in one of the apple magazines - Nibble perhaps. Webster's was the one they preferred. The bad news is there is no editor in it. Time : 20-MAR-1990 21:54 I have a copy of Sensible Speller which works great with Apple Writer. Do you have a 3.5 inch drive. Sensible speller (original disk) is on a 3.5. Also have all the docs for Apple Writer. Sensible speller is very very easy (transparent) to use. I'd be willing to sell both (cheap). Make me a deal I can't refuse :-) I'm not heartless just broke. -------- "All the bridges that you burn Will Come back one day to haunt you" Tracy Chapman UNESTJ@uncvx1.bitnet <Tamara>
