*** Announcement **** 1 9 8 7 C o m p u t e r T e c h n o l o g y S y m p o s i u m Knowledge Engineering Using Forth Date: 23 January, 1987 Place: C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University (Long Island, New York) About The Symposium: The Computer Technology Symposium on Knowledge Engineering Using Forth is being held at Long Island University's C.W. Post Campus and is being sponsored in colaboration with the Institute for Applied Forth Research. The symposium is an outgrowth of the increased use of Forth for real-time artificial intelligence applications. Forth's simplicity allows it to be used in high-performance RISC-like computers and its extensibility has given it a richness comperable to LISP. Together, these two aspects promise a future of real-time knowledge engineering. The Symposium presentations will include invited lecturers, tutorials, panel discussions, and exhibits on Forth technology. The symposium will benifit technical personnel involved in real-time applications and/or knowledge engineering as well as managers of such projects. About the C.W. Post Campus: The C.W. Post Campus is located on the scenic North Shore of Long Island and is conveniently located near major highways as well as the Long Island Railroad.
