Have any of you out there played with Icon? I've used it for a program (to solve a real problem) that does quite a lot of string processing (the only other choices were C and Basic, so Icon's string-processing was quite a boon). It seems to me that the "generator" features were less useful than I would have expected -- only the simplest loops could be elminated.
