IFP [1] is a variant of Backus' FP [2] language. The IFP interpreter is an order of magnitude faster than the fp that comes with BSD 4.2. The interpreter is written in C and runs on every UNIX box I've found. I'm going to try to make the IFP 0.5 sources available (probably by anonymous ftp.) Those that are interested should send me e-mail. I'll also make an MS-DOS version for IBM-PC clones available. [1] "Illinois Functional Programming: A Tutorial," Arch D.
