[comp.lang.misc] ??? PL/1 & UNIX 4.2 bsd ???

bohn@uklirb.UUCP (03/12/87)

Hello World!

I am looking for a PL1-compiler which supports the following (equivalent)
standards:

                 ANX X3.53-1976 Programming Language PL/1, August 76
         <=>     ECMA-50 Programming Language PL/1, December 76
         <=>     ISO 6160 Programming Language PL/1, May 78
         <=>     DIN 66255 Programmiersprache PL/1, Mai 1980

and runs on UNIX 4.2 (4.3) bsd. Could you give me any information about
the producer of such software, the price ... ?

Thanks in advance
  volker bohn

Argh! PL/1 under 4.2BSD??? Ecch! That's almost as bad as PL1G under
PR1MOS! Anyway, I'd like to know what Mr. Bohn finds......even if
it's just for the humor value.

And they say that IBM is dying.............

I have one which meets the ANSI PL/1 General Purpose Subset, with
some mainframe extensions.

However it only runs on SystemV. Sorry, but I have a feeling you may be
out of luck for BSD.
