Dinah asked him if he remembered the first time he'd ever been
on stage; he replied that indeed he did, that it was when he was
in grade school, and that The Picture of Dorian Gray was all the rage
then, and what he did on stage was a 15-second impersonation of it.

Carl Reiner did a cameo appearance in "Oh, God!" (1977).  He was 
in a clip from the Dinah Shore show, and he told a story that had 
something to do with "The Portrait of Dorian Gray." Does anyone 
remember what that story was?  The last time I saw that movie was 
nearly eight years ago: just a bit too far back for me to 
remember clearly.
