[net.movies] Even more Somewhere in Time

What is the theme music for Somewhere in Time?
I believe the composer is Rachmaninoff...although I am not
sure. In the book Bid Time Return the music mentioned is
Mahler's Ninth Symphony.

			No cute signature line today...

I don't know what the general music is that plays throughout, but
the music that plays when Richard first sees Elise's picture is
the 18th variation of Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini.
Richard later describes this warhorse has his "most favorite music
in the whole world" when a Grand Hotel music box plays it.

John Berry wrote the music for Somewhere in Time. However, the
music in the movie which equates to Mahler in the book is the
Rhaposdy on a Theme from Paganini by Rachmaninov. Aside from it
being a very poor quality record (released on MCA), the soundtrack
is wonderful.
