< Line eater : I aint afriad of no mail : -> Munch , Munch > Now , the moment you have been waiting for , the results of the USENET poll to determine the best S.F film. Many thanks to all those people who sent in their votes. Sorry for the delay , but weve had some problems down here recently. Before the results , just a few words on how the votes were counted. In my original posting I didnt specifly the form of the votes , ideally I wanted a single choice. If the posting deviated from this , I appiled the following criteria :- (1). If someone sent in a list of films in 1,2,3 order , I took the first choice. (2). If they sent in a list of films and (a). they couldnt decide between them or (b). they said the selection of the best SF film depended on the definition of SF used. Then in both cases I split the vote equally between the films in the list , that is why some films have fractional votes. So now without further ado , here are the results :- [ From 32 mail repiles ] Position Film Title Votes cast 1. 2001 : A space odyssey 9 2. Bladerunner 5 3.
