[net.movies] ATTENTION PARENTS... See the Breakfast Club!

The messages in the Breakfast Club are perfectly portrayed. As a 20 year old,
I can honestly say that this movie strikes home. The acting was excellent, the
storyline kept my attention from start to finish. This movie hit me in the way
that I expected Big Chill to hit you baby-boomers. As far as the characters
are concerned, they couldn't have been more realistic. In comparison to the
movie, I would have been the jock, while my brother would have been the
burner, I knew and occasionally dated the princesses, and today, I definitely
work with the brains.. The point to this verbal prattle is, the Breakfast Club
can really (accurately), show parents how we younger people think and feel.
As you can see, I was very pleased with this film. As intended, I am probably
the audience the film execs expected to snag, but, I would highly recommend
this film to anyone, anyway. An added bit of reasonings...
Has anyone, besides myself, noticed the influx of high caliber, emotionally
realistic films as of recent? Many of these films have excellent young stars,
such as Tim Hutton, Sean Pean (Taps, Falcon/Snowman) Molly Ringwald (Breakfast
Club, Tempest) Martin Sheens son (name sp?) (cult hit repo man, Breakfast Club)
etc.. I think the outlook for realistic films is superb with this kind of young
talent.
