I am sure that this barely counts, but I saw a movie by andy worhol called "Skyscraper". Needless to say, I didn't quite get to see the whole movie. It was being shown at a weekend long party, and it was just part of the background. It is 24 hours long. He also did a few shorter movies that were a bit more fascinating. "Sleep" was about 7 and a half hours long. It has a cast of one. He is sleeping nearly throughout the entire film. (I didn't see this one). "Chelsea Girls" was about 6 hours. This was a little more action oriented, and had dialogues. It seemed to be an essay in late twentieth century decadence, domestic violence, and the effects that various drugs have on transvestites. It has a scene that may have been the inspiration for "The Pope of Greenwich Village". Of course there are multi-part films that may be longer, "Victory at Sea" for instance. But if you sit down to actually watch them, nothing seems longer than "skyscraper". Anton Winteroak.
