Speaking of PD APLs: does anyone have any details about the current status of the APL-90 interpreter (by M. Girardot, St. Etienne, France)? At the end of last year, there was only a version for the MAC (alas, we don't have access to one), and ports to other micros were planned. What eed@al@al@ it.

It was shown and shared at the conference APL 87 held in Dallas, but only for the Mac. Someone present at the conference said that APL-90 had been run on an Atari ST under a Mac emulator. I imagine that this could be true, because there are Mac emulators for the ST. One of the all software (Bongo) (illegal?) and the other with licensed rams (Magic Sac). The same source, (enthusiastic, and usually reliable) said that some work was going on to port APL90 to the Atari ST. I do not think that this product would pry me away from APL.68000, because of the speed and reliability posessed by APL.68000. -- L. J. Does anyone know where I can get my hands on APL-90? On tape, disk, etc. I do not recall seeing any address in the APL87 proceedings. Also does anyone know of an APL that could be made to run on an Elxsi 6400? SaS

Try p 506 for the address of Fred Gross. Fred Gross 1100 Richards Avenue Santa Fe, New Mexico USA 87505 Fred is the New products editor for APL Quote Quad and he did a review of APL-90. He has offered to supply copies of his version to those who supply two micro floppies and postage. Lee Dickey -- L. J.
