[comp.lang.fortran] Parallel Fortran Converter, VAST, etc.

kish@caip.RUTGERS.EDU (Bill Kish) (11/12/86)

Does anyone have experience with the "Parallel Fortran Converter" developed
at Rice or with the R**n programming also developed at Rice? The facility
where I work was designed to provide state of the art environment for
researchers who are using the Cyber 205 (and an ETA-10 once it is completed)
located in Princeton NJ. Towards this end, we are trying to develop software
which will help them get the most out of their allocations on the Cyber and
and lessen their interaction with the VSOS batch environment. If CDC's VAST
could run on a SUN workstation, it would certainly be a reasonable step in
the right direction, although I don't anticipate this ever being done. If
you have used the "Parallel Fortran Converter" mentioned previously or a
similar type of package, I would be interested in hearing from you.
