[comp.lang.fortran] Fortran and Japanese Supercomputer Refs.

heh@ulysses.homer.nj.att.com (Harlan E. Husmann) (10/20/87)

I'm looking for references to published papers, books, etc. for the
following information:

	- the number of lines of Fortran that is used in production work,
especially the number of lines that is being used on
supercomputers (I'll take any reference along this line)
I'm trying to find an estimate of the total size of the
		Fortran "dusty deck."

	- descriptions of the Japanese supercomputers (NEC, Hitachi, Fuj)
(mostly interested in architecture description, again,
anything along these lines is of interest)

Replies can reach me personally at {ihnp4, ucbvax, vax135}!ulysses!heh.
Thanks in advance.

Jack J. Dongarra & Alan Hinds

The copy I have dosen't indicate where this paper was published, but
J.Dongarra can probably be reached at

       ARGONNE NATIONAL LABS
       9700 South Cass Ave.
       Argonne, Illinois 60439

P.S. Could you post a list of the the literature you discover.
